how to romanticize school 🎀📓

school doesn't have to feel like the same routine every day. make it your own little coming-of-age movie.

♡ make a cute playlist for getting ready in the morning.

♡ pick out your outfit the night before — even if it's just a cute sweater and your favourite jeans.

♡ decorate your notebooks with little stickers, doodles and magazine cut-outs.

♡ find your signature school accessory — a cute bag, jewellery, headband or hair clip.

♡ make your study sessions aesthetic — iced drinks, pretty stationery, your favourite playlist and a clean desk.

♡ go to the library during breaks and find a cozy little corner to read.

♡ take pictures of little moments — your desk, your notes, the sky outside, your coffee, your friends.

♡ make a “school day” playlist that feels like the soundtrack to your life.

♡ actually enjoy the walk home. headphones in, music playing, watching the sunset and pretending you're in a 2000s teen drama.

♡ make your lunch cute. little snacks, fruit, a drink you love — presentation makes everything more fun.

♡ have something to look forward to every week — a café trip, movie night, shopping, baking or just dressing up in an outfit you love.

♡ remember that not every day has to be exciting. sometimes the most romantic part is just sitting by the window, listening to music and letting an ordinary day be an ordinary day.

school is only one little chapter of your life, so make the memories cute while you're there. 💌

how to romanticize your life this autumn 🍂🧁

autumn is literally made for romanticizing. chilly mornings, leaves on the ground, oversized sweaters, warm drinks, old songs playing in your headphones… why not make the ordinary feel a little magical?

♡ make a fall playlist — lana del rey, 2000s songs, dreamy indie… anything that makes you feel like you’re in a movie.

♡ take your digital camera everywhere — photograph the leaves, your coffee, your outfits, your friends, random little moments. blurry pictures are part of the aesthetic.

♡ go on cozy little walks — headphones in, cute outfit on, no destination necessary.

♡ make your room feel like fall — blankets, candles, warm lighting, cute decorations and your favourite books everywhere.

♡ have a movie night — put on an old comfort movie, make popcorn and get under the biggest blanket you can find.

♡ dress for the season — boots, sweaters, scarves, little skirts, tights, cute bags… even if you're only going out for an hour.

♡ have a baking day — cookies, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls… bonus points if you listen to music while you bake.

♡ romanticize your mornings — make a cute breakfast, put on perfume, open your curtains and actually take your time getting ready.

♡ visit a bookstore or library — find a new book, get a warm drink and spend the afternoon wandering around.

♡ keep a little autumn diary — write down tiny things you loved that day. the weather, what you wore, what song you listened to, something funny that happened.

you don't need a huge life to have a romantic one. sometimes it's literally just putting on your favourite song, getting dressed up and making a random tuesday feel special. 🎀

fall is my favourite kind of nostalgia 🍂

there’s just something about fall that makes everything feel like a movie. the cold air, leaves all over the sidewalks, oversized sweaters, warm drinks, old songs playing through your headphones while you walk home… like hello?? main character season???

i want to romanticize literally everything this fall. waking up early when it’s still chilly outside, putting on my favourite perfume, wearing boots with a cute little skirt, getting a hot chocolate and wandering around a bookstore for no reason. coming home with cold hands, turning on my fairy lights, putting on a comfort show and getting under a huge blanket >>>>

i feel like fall in the 2000s was just different. think gossip girl, the vampire diaries, gilmore girls, little coffee shops, chunky scarves, digital cameras, old ipods, messy bedrooms, teen magazines and taking pictures of absolutely nothing because it looked cute.

my fall playlist is basically lana del rey, old 2000s pop, dreamy indie songs and anything that makes me feel like i’m walking through a small american town in october. 🍁

and obviously the fall essentials:

♡ oversized sweaters
♡ cute boots
♡ glossy lips
♡ a little shoulder bag
♡ hot chocolate / apple cider
♡ books from the library
♡ perfume that smells like vanilla
♡ cozy blankets
♡ a million candles
♡ late-night comfort shows
♡ taking random digital camera pictures
♡ making everything feel ✨special✨

this year i’m not waiting for something exciting to happen. i want to make the ordinary days exciting. decorate my room, make cute little recipes, dress up even if i’m just going out for coffee, take pictures, listen to music, watch old shows and actually enjoy the season.

because honestly… why not romanticize your life a little? 🍂🎀
